Lapa Rios Reserve on the Osa Peninsula preserves more than 1,000 acres of primary and secondary private rainforest and assists in the development of the local community.

On arrival at the San Jose International Airport (SJO), you will be meet & greet by our bilingual representative who will help you with your luggage and transfer you to the hotel.

In Costa Rica, the term “Grano de Oro” is used to refer to the coffee bean, their “Grain of Gold”. The founders of this boutique hotel fell in love with the idea that such a small fruit could be so valuable. The Hotel Grano de Oro opened its doors in December of 1991, with 21 guest rooms, a gift shop and a modest café. Quickly gaining recognition from local and international agencies for its unique personality and great service, the hotel became a landmark within the city.

San Jose City Walking & Sightseeing Tour

Today you will enjoy a Walking & Sightseeing Tour of the city with your private guide. San José is full of interesting stories and rich history, you just need a good storyteller to unveil its charms for you. On this tour, we will walk through the major historical landmarks such as the National Theater (1897) and Correos de Costa Rica building (1917) experience the daily bustle of the Central Market, and the modern cool spots as well share how locals enjoy their city.

Entrance fees to attractions are to be paid on-site. The walk includes some coffee tasting as well as other typical snack tastings at the Central Market.

Lunch takes place at a local restaurant suggested by your guide (at extra cost).

Day 3

Pacuare Lodge

Located on an 840-acres private reserve in the heart of the Talamanca Mountains, every aspect of the lodge exists in symbiotic harmony with the natural surroundings. You will be picked up at the hotel for the private transfer to the Domestic Terminal at SJO Airport on time for your check-in process with the domestic airline.

Take a scenic domestic flight along the mountain ranges towards the central coast, followed by a descent towards the Sierpe Mangroves and the Golfo Dulce. Upon arrival in Puerto Jimenez you will be welcome by your hotel representative at the local airstrip.
