We brought our daughter's family, including 2 boys of 12 and 10. We spent 10 days, staying in San José, Tortuguero, Sarapiquí, and Tamarindo. It was a fast-paced trip, because we wanted to show the family as much as we could. Mauricio provided us with superb guides; the vans were never late, and our rooms were just as we wished. The views of wildlife from the jungle canal boats, the paths in Tirimbina, and our flight to Tamarindo will never be forgotten, nor will the perfect surf at the beaches in Guanacaste. I was so happy to find Costa Rica looking beautiful, safe, and friendly. Thank you, Huellas!

Good friends recommended we contact Mauricio when they learned we were thinking of a vacation in Costa Rica. The service we received went beyond what we were expecting and we had an amazing time enjoying the beauty of Costa Rica. From the time I first contacted Mauricio, he was responsive and enthusiastic. We were a large group (3 couples and our 7 kids) and I worried about coordinating all our (different) arrival and departure times, arranging transportation and accommodations, etc, especially not knowing the country very well. However, we were able to leave all that up to Mauricio and he took care of everything! Right down to arranging for drivers and vans large enough to accommodate our group. We just gave him our information and the request that we see some monkeys and toucans and get to spend some time on the beach. Within a few days, he had us all sorted and we were all set. So easy. My Costa Rican friend Rolo recommended Mauricio and Huellas for our family vacation this Christmas. We ended up being very pleased. It worked just fine to let him design the trip - after a few minor adjustments we were set. All logistics worked out perfectly well. Great choices of destinations. Mauricio and the folks from Huellas were wonderful. Mauricio made a perfect itinerary with just the right amount of adventure and relaxation. We were traveling with my 80-year-old parents and our two children and they made sure that the itinerary was fun for all. My parents will never forget tubing down the river (the guides made sure they were well taken care of) and the kids wanted to do it again and again!
