Birding Paradise

Costa Rica has approximately 875 species of birds. This represents more bird species than the United States and Canada combined, which together have an area 378 times the size of Costa Rica!  We are an important migration site, especially for species traveling from North America during cold months.


Local Guides

You will be under the tutelage of avid local guides familiarized on each habitat with great observation skills.

Biological Station

Visit La Selva Biological Station, located at the confluence of the Sarapiquí and Puerto Viejo rivers. Home to more than the half of the 886 species of birds in Costa Rica.


Your guide will point out the many natural and cultural riches of Caño Negro Refuge, which protects the third largest wetland in the world, declared by the Ramsar Convention.

Children’s Eternal Rainforest

Support and bird watch the trails of the largest private reserve in Costa Rica bought and protected thanks to the fundraising efforts of children from around the world.
